Meta Llama
open-sourceMeta’s open family of large language models for research, fine-tuning, and local deployment.
Meta Llama is a series of openly available foundation models from Meta AI, released under a community license that permits many uses while restricting certain commercial scenarios unless terms are met. The lineup spans efficient smaller models and large multimodal variants suitable for chat, coding, and tool use after appropriate alignment.
Because weights and documentation are public, organizations can run Llama on private infrastructure, fine-tune on domain data, or build products via compatible inference stacks. That makes Llama a common choice for teams that need control over data residency, cost at scale, or custom behavior.
Using Llama responsibly still requires safety testing, content policies, and monitoring—open weights shift deployment responsibility to the operator. Check Meta’s current license and acceptable-use policy before shipping a product.
